WHY IS THERE SUFFERING IN OUR WORLD?

Wars and rumors of wars. Violence and crime. Pain, suffering, disease, and death! It doesn’t take very long to recognize that something is terribly wrong in our world. There is a spiritual war taking place between good and evil, and the battlefield is the very hearts and minds of men. The many different religions of the world offer various explanations and solutions, but the religion of the Bible makes no apology when it boldly declares Lucifer in heaven to be the source of sin, or that there there is only one God and one mediator between God and man.

For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

THE COUNSEL OF PEACE

The love of God and message of salvation are constant themes of the Bible that draw our hearts to God and cause us to bring forth praises unto the Father and his Son. God’s government is one of love so it requires willing obedience motivated by love, not forced allegiance motivated by fear. You see the world around us is subject to natural law yet God created men and angels as intelligent beings with free-will to make our own conscience decision to follow the law of God or not. God’s law is so “holy just and good” that it rightfully demands the life of the transgressor, but we should never forget that the great plan of salvation was laid before the foundation of our world, and our Substitute and Surety didn’t stand alone in the wondrous ransom of man.

WHAT ABOUT RACE OR ETHNICITY?

WHAT ABOUT THE “NEPHILIM” OR ANGEL/HUMAN HYBRIDS?

It’s true the pre-flood antediluvians were much larger than mankind today as is also true with most plants and animals from that time primarily due to pre-flood conditions. There is even compelling evidence supporting antediluvians more than twice the height of men today, but there is NO SUCH THING as fallen angel’s and humans interbreeding to create a hybrid race. That’s sci-fi channel stuff… so turn off the “idiot box”… and tune into the Bible…

THE FALL OF LUCIFER

To understand the “great controversy” between good and evil we must first understand this war is over the authority or government of God. The very one commissioned in heaven as the “covering cherub” – the third highest power/position in heaven – failed to properly represent or defend the government of God. He became a liberal snowflake due to his feelings of resentment for thinking he was more than qualified to be “like the most High” – the second highest power/position of heaven belonging exclusively to the only begotten Son of God – and he therefore misrepresented God as a tyrant seeking to enslave his creatures with unnecessary laws and restraint. His first two solo albums as fledgling choir leader were “born this way” and “do as thou wilt”. Sound familiar? To further promote his cause he started the “angels lives matter” movement that was widely reported as a “mostly peaceful protest” by his faithful followers or sympathizers. Of course it caused WAR in heaven! No big deal, right? Those poor liberal snowflakes! Falling from heaven like that…

DID GOD CREATE A DEFECTIVE ANGEL?

Some might be tempted to blame God for creating a defective angel but nothing could be further from the truth! The government of God is one of love and free-will therefore forced love or “rape” is a gross violation of the very fundamental principle of God’s government. The fact is Lucifer was created perfect yet he began to reason within himself how the angels were victims of discrimination and slavery therefore “co-equality” and “social justice” became the all absorbing themes of his rebellion.

PROTECTING AND DEFENDING THE MERCY SEAT

The Ark is a symbol of God’s throne in heaven. One of the primary functions of a covering cherub is to protect or defend the throne or government of God, specifically the mercy seat or second power/position of heaven beneath which is the law of God or foundation upon which His government or throne rests. Needless to say Lucifer failed to fulfill his duties of defending and protecting the law of life that proceeds forth from the throne of God.

And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened…

LIKE THE MOST HIGH

The only begotten Son of God shares the throne of God as revealed by the fact he is the mercy seat. So he is the only being in all the universe that can enter into all of the counsels and purposes of God in order to exercise the Father’s will. When the Son of God became flesh to save our fallen race he became the “Son of man” or “third person of the Godhead” who laid aside his divine inheritance and took upon himself our fallen humanity in order to became “a partaker” of the divine nature through faith.

THE EXPRESS IMAGE OF GOD

Contrary to popular belief the Son of God is NOT the second co-equal person of the trinity, but rather he is the literal Son of God begotten in eternity past before the foundations of the earth, or the “time before time” as it were. The great law of heredity or Biblical principle of “kind produces kind” helps us better understand how the Son of God was “with God” yet “was God”. We can be sure there is no mysterious trinity to “wonder after”! We can only see the beauty of a literal Father and Son relationship…

MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD

What many fail to realize is the creation of mankind “in the image of God” plainly teaches us about about the relationship between the Father and Son. We can clearly see two beings made from one substance each with a spirit within them. Are you paying attention? It’s on full theatrical display…

WHAT IS SIN?

The doctrine of “original sin” says your choice to transgress the law of God is someone else’s fault, in particular it was Adam’s fault, and so by default you are “born a sinner” hating God. While it’s true we all inherit a fallen sinful nature from our first parents that must be overcome and redeemed, it’s also true that we willingly choose to do wrong when we know to do right! Very simply put; sin is an “act” of transgression not a “state” of being. The “blame game” started when the man blamed the woman… the woman blamed the serpent… and now the original sinners blame Adam…

THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT

There are many who suggest the ten commandments were nailed to the cross. They boldly proclaim as new testament christians they are under the “law of the spirit” and not commandments written in stone. They have a “new” commandment to love God and their neighbor, but sadly these people confuse texts dealing with the fulfillment of the types and shadows of the ceremonial law with the ten commandments.

The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. Isaiah 42:21 KJV

THE TEN COMMANDMENTS

THE SABBATH VINDICATED

Have you ever noticed how nine of the ten commandments aren’t a problem for most? What I mean is you don’t typically hear ministers saying it’s okay for christians to practice idolatry, murder, adultery, theft, etc. It’s always the inconvenient truth of the fourth commandment- the literal 7th day Sabbath -that causes most professed christians to stumble and fall. What a shame because the sabbath is not only a memorial of the six literal days of creation, but it’s also “a sign” of our sanctification! Even as Adam and Eve’s loyalty was tested by the command to not eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil amongst all the other fruitful trees in the garden, the 7th day sabbath is a day we must “remember” to keep holy amongst all the other days of the week. So whose authority will YOU serve?

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
